Do you know that for sure? Maybe they just told him they're holding a spot for now, meaning that the situation could change? I always hear that recruiting is fluid. I think it may be short-sighted to promise that he's got a spot held for him until NSD.

So is Treadwell definitely going to visit USC or just talk.

No Desmond was a NR to Rivals and only had offers from Akron, Buffalo and Bowling Green.. Not sure about the other sites but im pretty sure he didn't get his bumps til after he comitted. Just sayin let this kid play his senior year and trust the coaches.

The same people whining about Stribling committing are most likely the same people who were whining when Michigan hired Brady Hoke instead of John Harbaugh or Les Miles.

I certainly whined about the timing. Killed recruiting that year, if you are going to hire him then hire him right away. Brandon waited too long. Unless he was waiting on responses from other possibilities...

Ok,so getting back to serious issues here. We have two spots left.
- does adding stribling mean the dropping of fuller and mcquay? No and yes I think. Stribling has shown the ability to play corner at 6ft 2in. From all the info I can gather they think he has the fluidity to play the boundry position and that's where it looks like he will stay there. So what does that mean? Fuller no longer looks to be a candidate to play for Michigan. Mcquay on the hand is a safety all the way.

- the other position looks like it will be locked up by a receiver. Treadwell is still taking his time and a few things could speed him up. Bailey is coming in next week I think. If he were to want the final position, I'm not sure what happens here. In the end though I'm pretty sure the coaches would have to except his commitment(even though I argued that the coaches would hold a spot for treadwell). Paul Harris is Mother receiver to watch but I'm sure the coaches realize they are in pretty good position and do not not need to add another player with the same dimension as the last4 we have taken. So I think this situation will be one to watch the closest.

- what if wilkins or green want to commit? I have a ton of doubt wilkins is an option and he may drop to auburn at any time. Green on the other hand is still a viable option. He interest is still relatively high and if/when he visits he could put us on a very short list of candidates.

So everything that happens here will affect everyone else. If Bailey really really likes us that puts a ton of pressure on treadwell to secure his spot. If one of them commits it puts all of that pressure on mcquay. This will stay VERY fluid.

Thoughts?

I really want Treadwell in the class, I don't think Bailey brings what Treadwell brings to the table we need that downfield threat who cant stretch the field. I know we have 2 recievers committed with nice size but there not burners York and Dukes, but Treadwell is the total package at reciever he is sort of like Braylon and we have been missing that type of reciever ever since Braylon left. After that I would be pumped if we landed either McQuay or Bailey. McQuay is an elite type of safety and he would really compliment Dymonte in the defensive backfield. Bailey is an expolsive athlete, I think he would be really good in the slot on offense and he could even make an impact in the return game. Imo I want Treadwell in the class for sure than whoever the next commit is thats just gravy imo.

So what does everyone think about the Stribling commit?
