I've seen Wormley (quite recently) and there is no way he's 6'8. Much closer to 6'6.
Also, as a 5-tech SDE that's a fine size. Not too tall. If he shifts to 3-tech DT, he could easily play at 6'7 or even 6'8. It all just depends on if he can get low enough. If he can get the leverage, there's no reason his size would hold him back. Michigan State's Tyler Hoover is starting inside at DT at 6'8 this year.

And I say to MSU, good luck with that 6' 8" DT. There will always be exceptions, but I really don't want to see another 6'8" DT; it's just not ideal for your basic college football player. We saw it with Pat Massey, and he could be decent, but he always struggled with leverage issues.

We should have a solid/good, but not great class. Foster is unlikely at best - I think he'll end up at Bama. Dorian Johnson is the guy we need - I believe we've got a decent shot when he visits with his mother later this month.
I don't believe Anzalone will come to PSU, but I think we'll come close and make a good push for him. The only other PA prospect we expect to get is David Williams.
That said, there's several other good prospects we're in on that aren't in-state. This year we're concentrating on NJ, next year I think we'll hit VA hard (Hand, Brown, Blanding, among others -- not saying we'll get them, just that we'll recruit VA hard).
Honestly, I've been hopeful in comparing our 2012 recruiting class to your 2011 class. I think we're potentially a year behind you guys in recruiting. We can continue to be a year behind you if (and only if) we do well this season. Our schedule sets us up well for a solid 9-10 win season, IMO. Will be interesting to see the recruiting battles between OSU, PSU, and UM during the next few years. I'd really prefer you guys stay out of the east...don't like seeing UM get into NJ, PA, and VA. We need those prospects more than you do at this point.

If we whiff on Dorian Johnson, I do think the PSU coaches will continue to push for McGlinchey - I've maintained for a while now that ND's class will be susceptible to late raids this year.

Julius Peppers is 6'7'' 290 plays the same 5 tech that Wormley would. Albert Haynesworth is 6'6''-6'7'' 340 playing 3 tech. Its all about being taught proper technique and using your strengths to their greatest potential. Wormley has not outgrown the position by any means, if anything playing the 5 tech with his size will be an advantage.

I really like McQuay. I would be just as happy to have him as i would Fuller. I watched McQuay's tape and he is the type of player than can elevate a defense from very good to great. To me the real problem is what if both want to commit to Michigan. Can we really take both? Would that mean Treadwell, McQuay, Fuller and Bailey(if Bailey and McQuay are a package deal) as the last 4? No RB or DE.

I'm saying those things aren't as big factors as people seem to think. It may play a factor, but my guess is that it won't. I'm not saying Michigan won't be a player, but if they are, it's going to be more because of the coaches than because he's friends with Blake's family.
While we're on the topic of Countess, I seem to recall him being a recruit that PSU was trying to sway, and from the rumors on our end, they came close.

). I want to say Breneman, but Hackenberg gets the slight nod simply because he was our first commit, and such a HUGE need.
