2013 Recruiting Hotlist

  • Apparently this WR from Louisiana was offered recently....another solid prospect. With 4 spots left, depending on who commits and who we miss out on, I could see a 4th WR as apart of this class. A lot of scenarios left for the final 4 spots, I wish I understood statistical outcomes better to paint that picture.

Yep, in this case one saw the other's tweet and they started messaging each other.

    Who was the other? Foster?

    Yes, I believe so.

  • It's amazing to me just how quickly sentiments change in recruiting.

Just last week, Alabama fans were *very* confident on Poggi. Fastforward to the middle of this week and that confidence had waned. By Saturday night, it was on life-support.

Treadwell DMd Foster and both seemed to cool on OSU right after. Though the PR spins from all three camps were quite interesting. Frankly Treadwell seemed the smartest in his handling of the situation

  • We are in Leon McQuay's top 3 along with USC and Vanderbilt. Planning on a Nov. 21st decision.

Edit: I didn't even scroll down to see the thread. I'm stupid. fingergun

Since we are on the topic of a Louisiana WR, I wanted to bring this up.

Someone told me that *supposedly* Carr turned down DeSean Jackson for Laterryal Savoy (from Louisiana) because Coach Jackson supposedly spoke very highly of Savoy to Carr.

Does anyone know if this is true or if it's just a lie?

Moreover, *supposedly* Jackson supposedly grew up a fan of Michigan and was ready to commit to Michigan on an unofficial visit but soured on us when he didn't receive an offer.

    Any truth to this?

  • If someone told me 6 months ago Michigan would have 20 recruits 4* or better I'd of told them maybe 14. To think we have 20 kids right now, 17, 4* and 3 that could move up is amazing. With possibly 3-4 spots left and still being well in the mix for at least a half a dozen other high 4* and 5* is just crazy. I've been very optimistic about our coaching staff before but they are exceeding all my expectations. Keep up the great work coach Hoke and company. goblue

Any idea on why November 21st?

I ask because Michigan will play Ohio in The Game on November 24th.

Interesting that hometown powerhouse LSU has not offered.

And it can't be because LSU doesn't know about him. He plays for the same high school as Landon Collins who picked Bama over LSU on ESPN.

Something along those lines, yes. Also there is something similar with Brian Cushing.

  • Seems like Jordan Wilkins was close to committing to Auburn. Almost called that one, I think he'll end up there on a different date.

  • Looks like Berkley Edwards performed VERY well at the Alabama camp. Trieu tweeted that there is no offer YET. Does anyone think the coaching staff should at the very least give him another look? He's listed at 5'9 on most sites, almost 5'10 here, and he has blazing speed. It doesn't seem THAT small, especially with a current weight of 185-190lbs. He could put on weight and be a bowling ball with great speed. For reference, Trent Richardson measured at 5'9 at the combine and weighed 210lbs out of high school.

If he camps, he may earn an offer.

Yep, we're in the top-four. I think Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Auburn are pretty similar outside the football programs. Michigan will give him a different feel, maybe he likes it, maybe not. I think that may determine things.
