you guys need to relax. Asked if it was true because I had seen it on twitter feed. Went to my connections that our spot on with LSU info and was told it didn't happen. -

My bad, LSU source said it didn't happen. Only said Miles called Dawson last weekend. Sorry if I got you stirred up. I'd be shocked if any kid from Cass Tech turned down UM. Last kid I recall was Barksdale, but don't know if UM was even after him.

As I recall UM wanted him but everybody knew early on he was leaving for the SEC so they didn't waste much time on him.
I think Cass Tech sent a WR/CB to Oregon a few years ago with a UM offer but I don't think he was considered a super high priority for UM.
What's wrong with a man giving away a golden shower? Sounds like a nice gift to me.

I remember someone telling me that Barksdale wanted to play as a DLineman but Carr told him that he would be a much better fit as an OLineman.
LSU/Les Miles told Barksdale that he could come in and play as a DT. On the other hand, Carr was adamant that Barksdale's future was as a OT.
Well, Barksdale went to LSU. And within his first year, he was (forcibly?) switched to OT.
And Barksdale is now a OT for the Raiders.
Intriguing, huh?
