2013 Recruiting Hotlist

If you follow recruiting I guess. New DB coach from Tennessee. Big time recruiter.

#1. Terry Joseph is not a big time recruiter.
#2. Terry Joseph is from Louisiana and has nothing to do with California.
#3. Nebraska has always recruited California.

Tennessee made some great hires on the defensive side of the ball. The only question is if its enough to save Dooley's job. If not, they've set up a good situation to try to bring in Kirby Smart. U Tennessee is in an interesting scenario where they could get back to the top quickly with Florida down and Georgia never seeming to live up to expectation; should be fun to see if Dooley can succeed or if they bring in someone who can.

  • Does anyone know much about Elijah Daniel, Tashawn Bower, or Muhammad? Are we full at DE? Do these guys have any legitimate interest in us?

I don't think we have a good chance with Daniel. But we definitely are on Bower's list and Muhammad has kept really quiet.

In order of our chances, best to slimmest IMO:

    Bower
    Daniel
    Muhammad

We have a very realistic shot at Bower. He wants to visit for the BBQ, which would be awesome. If either of the other guys ends up visiting, we'll have a better shot but they haven't set anything up yet.

I would move Muhammad ahead of Daniel but we still dont have the great of a shot at either.

  • Some Shane Morris video nothing earth shattering.

    Play

'Meet The Michigan Man' Shane Morris - Ful...

He's the definition of a 'Michigan Man' and his legacy is growing before he has even thrown his first pass in Ann Arbor. Shane Morris, the No. 2 ranked pro-style quarterback in the country is the prize of Brady Hoke's 2013 recruiting class. The 6'3" 190-pound signal-caller from De La Salle Collegiate in Warren, MI threw for 1,694 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior and is ranked as the No. 18 prospect in the nation by 247Sports.com. Full Ride has Bleacher Report's Michael Felder and 247Sports.com's J.C. Shurburtt and Barton Simmons breakdown Morris and tell Michigan fans how special a quarterback they are getting in 2013. Morris' swagger, ability to make big plays will make Michigan fans conjure up memories of former Wolverine passer Jim Harbaugh. Morris took home MVP honors at the Elite 11 Regional in Columbus, earning him a spot in the prestigious finals to take place in July. • Doesn't seem like we are recruiting Daniel very much. There was that post awhile ago saying he was planning a visit, then there was a following update about the coaches not being in contact. Todd wrote this a month ago: "Last time I spoke with him, he hadn't had much contact with Michigan lately. Hoping to have more from him in the near future." For whatever reasons, it appears the coaches aren't making him a priority.

  • Loved watching the video about Shane Morris.

He seems to be the complete package. I hope he is fortunate enough to one day be the #1 overall pick in a NFL Draft.

  • From the Best of Baltimore Nike Football Training Camp:

#3 - Kendall Fuller / CB / Olney (Md.) Good Counsel

Fuller, who measured in at 5-foot-11, 186 pounds, is likely moving to five-star status on 247Sports when we update our 2013 rankings in a couple of weeks. He was close anyway as performance in a camp setting typically does not count any more than 10 percent of a prospect’s grade in most instances, but what we saw Saturday was enough to put him over the edge. Throughout the event, he was a shutdown guy at cornerback. His size allows him to play physical at the line, but then you turn around and he’s attached at the hip to the receivers he was toying with in one-on-ones. Credit to four-star athlete Delando Johnson, who held his own against Fuller in one rep and appeared to be getting open, but Fuller used his recovery speed to break up what would have been one of the only completions he gave up on the day.

  • A Michigan fan asked Laquon Treadwell on twitter if he was going to commit soon and which we're his top schools. This was Laquon's response:
"@SuccessfulQuon: @TommyCummings22 no I'm not and I dont have any top schools"

You guys are reading way to much into this. He hasn't told any reporters anything different, why would he tell some random person he doesn't even know?

Yeah, seems like he's just enjoying the attention.

No offer, probably not getting one. I'd say UF, tOSU, and Tennessee are the tes to watch here.

Seen a few folks mention grades. Probably only reason we haven't offered.

I thought he was going to speed up the time table for his decision? If not it’s w/e, let him enjoy the process.

He probably does have a top 5 or something in mind, he just doesn't want to share it. Like Ty Isaac except he likes the attention. But maybe he's speeding up the process because of Michigan's timetable.

I'd take him...and then Treadwell as a 4th WR. So far I like the 2012 WRs a ton more than the current 2 2013s. Chesson is a track guy from what everyone is saying and Darboh is hands down better than York and Dukes.
