2013 Recruiting Hotlist

  • Ty and his family will make a decision with his best interests. I am not questioning that nor their integrity in handling the recruiting process. I would like to point out some facts about their program. Heisman's and National Championships celebrated in violation of a myriad of infractions. Then bringing a member of the regime caught up in the investigative mess back to lead your program. The same guy who left a traditional college football program, pilfering it's players and leaving in the midst of investigation. Then we have the Oakland Raiders situation, truly handled with class and maturity if your a four year old. I hope he reads and looks into all of these examples of character and integrity. I think that is important if you want to truly care about someone and not just their talent.

  • Keep the subject on recruiting guys, not on accusations of violations.

    Also please read up on the USC infractions, they were not giving out improper benefits. We get angry when people are wrong about why we got on probation, it's hypocritical to do the same to other schools.

    Sadly it did lead to major violations though. While I still think Michigan runs a cleaner ship than just about anyone else, the record is tainted. As much as it infuriates me to hear and say it, our record is no longer spotless. While the circumstances and punishment were certainly less damning than others, the fact remains that it did happen. And it infuriates me.

    Are you a USC troll? What person believes extra practice is going to entice recruits?

    Option 1. Yeah if you come to Michigan you get to practice an extra twenty minutes. Don't you just want to sign up?

    Option 2. Like my ride? Check out the rims and screens in the back. Come check out the house my Mom's staying in now. What do you think, want to jump on board and join the club?

    I can see how practice would definitely be the more favorable enticement.

    I didn't and don't like that Dick Rod put Michigan and violation in the same sentence either, but clearly we are comparing cherries and Watermelons.

    And, if anything, I'm disappointed in your interpretation of his post. Nowhere did he say that "extra practice is going to entice recruits." That's how you chose to characterize his message.

    Extra practice time (10 minutes or so) is not the same as giving out rides with 20s.

    Not football, basketball. Is not your BB program affiliated with the University of Michigan?

    That is all I'm going to say, and I'll leave this forum. I have tremendous respect for Michigan, and everything it stands for. Much like my feelings about Stanford, I can at least understand that a recruit would select the Cardinal or the Wolverines over my university.

  • Why the bad vibe on Issac? Understand going to see USC puts them in the running for his servces but they are still out in California and he's an Illinois kid. Is there something USC offers that Michigan doesnt besides the great weather and the chicks?

    What are the chances Michigan would ever look into someone (outside of who was here before he took over and remained) form the Rich Rod coaching staff to come back and lead our program?

  • I think we're overreacting to his visit at SC. We still have a good shot until he decides. Now if he heads back there then it will be a different story. Oh and don't say Dick Rod because it makes you sound like an MSU or Ohio fan.

    I have no clue. Some are saying he's SC to lose but idk I think it's to close to call. Alot can change between now and tomorrow

    Players or commits? Not sure it would make much sense to tell current players that will most likely not be playing on the field with the recruit.
