Gardner is awesome and I am very glad he got his RS, but part of me can't wait until Morris takes the reigns so buckuts will finally shut up. They literally think he's the worst QB ever.

Given the fact that they went 12-0 last year, you'd think their fans would be a little less insecure.

What team doesn't lose important pieces each year? Of course we lost pieces, but we're gaining in areas as well. I'm not one who thinks we'll go 10-2 next year, but since my current feel is about 8 wins with only one sure loss, I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility. If you want the reasons we're optimistic, I'll give them to you over PM.

not needed, just pointing out we all have our "homers". And yes, even writers on other teams boards are going to reflect in a positive way for that team, I read your writers as well as this boards and they also favor the home team. would be pretty dumb not to since you have folks paying to read about their team. How long would you pay if the writers bashed your own team?

Those of us that have been around awhile, don't get too wrapped up in what is written by a hometown writer. Sure, it favors the home team, but taken with a grain of salt by many more than not. Hell, we have some young guys that were calling for Matta's job a few weeks back, but then again, they weren't around much before Matta and don't appreciate how much better he is than what our BBall team has been over the previous 20+ years. I find the younger guys get the most worked up on the boards, but in our case, they've had it pretty good for their run of being a fan with Tressel and now Matta, they don't remember the Cooper years or the very average BBall teams we put on the court for the most part.

That's what I'm saying. The wfiters are worse then the fans! And all fanbases have terribke homers, but I've never seen anything like that board. Everyone ks out of tneir mind
