Lets not get carried away with Taco's strength. These are self reported weight room numbers, not reps counted at the combine or a pro day.
Good for Taco, but I ran a 4.3 in high school too.....

True, but what reason would he have to lie? I mean, if he didn't actually do that, I imagine his teammates would call him out on it. And staffs usually do these kind of benchmark measurements like bench, squat, 40 time, etc before camps start to measure progress. I would imagine that it was overseen by the S&C staff to ensure it was done properly and safely.

In high school is the key word here. Taco is working out in UMs weight room, monitored by the S&C coach. Now it's possible taco may have short armed some, meaning not going full extension, and perhaps those wouldn't count on pro day but if he posted that, even 20-22, let alone tacos number is impressive. He has always given me the impression of being a freak of an athlete, like JPP type of guy that's long, fast, agile, and strong.

Taco has really lomg arms not suitable for benching njmbers I might add as well. I think its signkfact because its shows that he is putting in work. . Maybe his fundamental won't be tbere to contribute rhis year, but I'd be realky surprised if its strength and conditioning that held him back

This is true. Two weeks ago Desmond Morgan was lifting in there. Last week I saw Trey Burke lifting there as well. I couldn't begin to explain why, but some athletes frequent the ccrb.

Some of the linebackers didn't gain the weight I had hoped they would. Also Butt is only 231 and funchess 228.
