Yea I know. Still doesn't mean he won't be the best option come fall. Kids want to play, they are competitors, I think kugler is mature in his thinking knowing he could benefit from a RS to gain knowledge and strength. But if he is the best man come fall he will play regardless of his preference.

Interview with Hoke. Mentions Drake Johnson, Tom Strobel, and Gardner all had good winters. Center will be fought between Miller, Burzynski, and Glasgow. He also said Braden will compete at left guard and Kalis will compete at right guard.

He doesn't mention Bryant at all. I wonder if this means that Bryant isn't 100%, like they want him to be. Would hope Bryant could of beaten out Braden, honestly.

Starting to fear Bryants early weight problems and injury problems are going to bury him on the depth chart with the way we are recruiting.

didnt mention his name, but did mention that some guys who have been there a while. Kalis and Braden are gonna start. Braden's ceiling is huge. He is going to be the next great OL at Michigan. Thats the word from Ann Arbor.
As for Kugler, you ALWAYS want to redshirt frosh OL. Always. Kugler also had shoulder surgery recently. He will redshirt. And thats a good thing.

he's being groomed to take over for Lewan at LT. Thats one of the reasons he is playing next to Taylor at LG. Learn the left, be with Taylor, and get one of your 5 best OL on the field.

Personally think Magnuson is better suited to protect the QBs blindside(LT), but if Braden shows he's capable, then that's fine.

LT: Lewan
LG: Braden
C: ???
RG: Kalis
RT: Schofield
Hope everyone stays healthy and Bryant can be a swing guy inside if he gets on track.

I'd say Miller is more likely the starting center than Braden is the starting LG.

So three behind 5th year senior Eliott Mealer at his pro day? Wow, that's really impressive for a true freshman. Comparing to DE combine results, in 2012 Melvin Ingram put up 28, and Whitney Mercilus put up 27. This year, Jesse Williams put up 30, Ansah put up 21, and Will Gholston put up 23. A long way till Taco gets production on the field, but that is damn impressive for someone so young. (And yes, I realize Williams isn't a DE, but I thought his number was interesting considering how touted his strength is/was)
