He easily could. Bolden and Ringer are both enrolling early, though, and that gives them the inside track towards getting the LB PT next year. We don't have bad depth at LB, and it would be nice to be able to RS guys like Ross and RJS. I know we've gotten away from this with our atrocious depth over the past few years, but people have to remember that it's good to redshirt great players lol

No doubt about it Michigan has good depth at LB. It's great knowing there are a lot of young guys getting game experience (Clark,Beyer,Black,Morgan,) so they'll be ready when it's their time. Hell, young guys right now are making an impact like Jake Ryan and Countess! Of course, incoming guys need to bulk up (TRich) and get seasoned to the college game. I'm hearing many great things about Bolden which is encouraging given he's gonna be here early.

No better place than Section 21 every home game. GO BLUE! http://www.twitter.com/WolverineDev

  • A lot of talent coming out of Cass Tech the next few years. Easily one of Coach Wilcher's best teams yet. Everyone also take note of DB Jourdan Lewis. He holds one offer currently from toledo. A little undersized at 5'10, but kid can play

  • I would say out of the current commits at a chance of playing as a FR are as follows
Bolden. He has god size and great instincts.
    Kalis- same
    Strobel
    Ringer
    Pipkins
    Funchess and Williams
Jarrod Wilson- He is a "true" safety. We could really use him.
If T-Rich gets a growth spurt and can get to about 175 he will play. He is a talented kid and has skills most of our other CB on the current team don't have. Most of the guys coming in early will play. I think Bolden will play a bunch along with Pipkins if he comes in in great shape. I also think with the people we have leaving Strobel comes in and plays a lot. We will need one other DL to come in and play next year too. Hopefully Wormley comes in and has that fire that the coaches are looking for. I think it will be hard to keep him off the field if he comes in with some kick ass in him. He is a physical specimen already. Losing Mike Martin and VanBergen is gonna hurt. They are playing well and are the leaders of this D. I am not too pleased with our LB play- Demens hasn't played that great, I love Ryan and he will be a staple of this D for the next 3 yrs. Desmond will be even better next year. Hopefully Poole and Heitzman can get some size and be ready to go next year. I am excited about Hollowell too.

Sam Webb has been saying that AJ WIlliams is doing awesome at OT. How many think we may take another DE by maklng Williams our last OLine, Brown to TE and take a mystery DE?

I'm a bit of a homer because I see these kids play almost every week, but I think Terry Richardson and Royce Jenkins-Stone have gret potential. RJS will start off the bat IMO and TRich will probably be in a nickel package. They got to sign their LOIs and make the team first.

I'm pretty sure that RJS will not start right away. If he projects to MLB he is going to have to beat out a senior Kenny Demens.

Williams is doing more then awesome..hes completely dominating. I just watched his senior tape, holy crap is he one mean motherf*cker!!

I think hes pretty much destined to the line now. He could turn out to be one really special player. Definitely underrated at this point.

I have been predicting Williams to OT ever since he committed, he was too big for TE even for college. He is going to be a monster on that OLine.

  • would like to see him pull an Eric Winston(Miami(YTM)/Houston Texans,) play TE the first season bc he can already be an impact blocker there and move to OT for his next 3 years

Well that just makes me wish Thompson committed to us. Crud.

Another comparison might be Nate Solder. He was originally recruited to play TE for Colorado. I'm not really sure how long he stuck at TE before he moved to the OL.

I heared Thompson's 5.4 40 time was pretty crappy for a TE. I would give Pharoh Brown the spot since he is tearing it up at TE this year. But all of this wouldn't happen if we still land a guy like Garnett or Diamond.

  • This seems like an approriate place to put this. Apparently Drake Johnson has committed to Michigan, not sure if it's on scholarship.
