2012-2013 Bowl Season

  • Oh yeah Stanford made my weekend, "We are Losers". Kiffin got completely out coached, he had Barkley under center in the two minute offense. roflmao Completely over rated, well done Pat Haden. lol Probably didn't inquire with many of the Oakland Raider administration on how big of a sleaze Kiffin is.

Harbaugh plays Carroll twice each year in the NFC west.

I hope the 49ers wipe the field with the Seachickens and Harbaugh gives that sly smile when asked about their relationship in the press conference, until Carroll gets fired.

  • What can Brandon Moore bring to the offense? Denard would use Koger a lot when scrambling and needing to throw it on the fly to a large target. The traditional TE is a component missing from the offense and having one provides a needed security blanket for Denard, plus could help the run-game. Moore is big, so I'd expect him to be at least a competent run-blocker. Not sure what to expect when Moore eventually returns, can he step up and fill these roles?

Not as an all-around TE. As a receiving option, I agree. As an overall TE, Funchess is not at that level yet. He really has to work on his blocking.

  • Kansas State @ Oklahoma
Kansas State is looking to continue the success they have had recently. They have looked really good this season, but they are not on Oklahoma's level by any means. I do not think this one will be very close. Oklahoma wins big.
    Kansas State 17-35 Oklahoma

    Clemson @ Florida State
Clemson, I am not impressed with so far. They barely beat an Auburn team who has looked absolutely terrible so far this year, and they gave up 27 points to Ball State. Their defense is suspect. FSU, on the other hand, has completely destroyed everybody. They are looking sound on both sides of the ball. Granted they haven't played anybody worth nothing, but they have looked good nonetheless. FSU will win fairly easy in this one.
    Clemson 17-28 Florida State

I think Kansas State makes that game close based on their tough, down your throat offense, possibly winning the game.

Clemson will test FSU on defense, big time. Watkins is back and they could literally just toss it up for him on every play and score at least 21 points, he is a different animal. I think Clemson wins again this season.

  • I hate ESPN. Dari Nowkhah just said Mizzou was better than a lot of the top 25. I assume he said that simply because they are in the SEC. blank

And now they just said that Braxton is the best running QB in CFB. no

Unbelievable! I am really losing faith in ESPN. I try and watch as little of that network as possible, but their hard to get away from.

O$U is on probation so they cover their training camp. shrug

I hope BOB knows someone in Bristol maybe he can get a series next year.

Agree with KSU, but think Clemson is in a world of trouble..

I'd have to agree 100% Mizzou is not as good as the mid level B1G teams most years. I wonder what they'd say about Indiana if they were in the SEC?

It's ESPN, they were already pumping Ohio on their homepage despite that awful showing against Cal. They looked completely outmatched by Cal in the second-half and survived off of Cal missing their field goals (and that fake holding call that wiped out one of Cal's TDs).

  • Who wins between Clemson an FSU? Looks like the winner has an easy ride all the way till the end of the season. It'll surprise me if the winner does not go undefeated with their SOS.

  • I want to pick Clemson to win but I just can't get over the Corch Swinney factor.

Then again, Clemson can lay the wood and might knock Manuel out of the game.

All Clemson has to do is just lob it up for Sammy Watkins, nobody can cover him. Watkins is what Denard could have been at WR.

  • FSU has an enormous advantage in the trenches, a great defense, and weapons on offense. I like FSU easy.

Going to be hard for Boyd to lob it up when he is on his back.

He was able to do it last year, I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again. FSU hasn't played any good teams yet, so their defensive hype will be in for a reality check this weekend.

  • I'm going with Clemson. There are always teams that are a little over-hyped at the begging of season because they look unbelievable against really bad teams or have a good win that everyone makes a big deal about. Not saying it's the case with FSU, but it could be. Plus, I'm always rooting for an upset.

Clemson hasn't played anyone either. FSU hasn't played anyone, but they have dominated as they should, 0 points allowed. Clemson also lost 3 OL and a TE from last year, FSU's defense is still strong.

  • The Big Ten is awful right now.. Iowa losing to CMU, Ohio State losing to UAB, and Wisconsin losing to UTEP. Wow.

I know I am in the minority on this but I love it when what are suppose to be at least decent Big Ten teams lose.

I agree actually, especially because the Big Ten is so bad that our national perception won't matter. I'm rooting for UAB and UTEP for sure.
