2011-12 Michigan Hockey Thread "NCAA Tournament #1 Seed"

    He's been playing pretty well. Great hands and excellent balance. He's probably the second best freshman IMO behind a stellar and possible super star in Phil DiGuiseppe. I think he's gonna be a great starter here.

    So far on the season he's got 1-3-4 through 8 games.

    That stat-line doesn't do him justice. He's gotten a bunch of opportunities in front of the net and he's a pretty good skater.

    And as for the person who said we're getting good TV coverage this year, what are you smoking? This year has been the worst for TV scheduling I've seen in a while. Next week's Miami series, which should be a lock to be televised, isn't.

  • The TV scheduling this year sucks. They have the home series against lake superior state televised, but not even one Michigan at miami game? Unreal.

    Didn't see anyone say that the tv coverage is great, it definitely isn't. Can't wait for the big ten conference so we get more coverage on the BTN.

    From what I've heard he had full movement in all his limbs and he looked pretty good considering.

    I don't play hockey, just a big hockey fan. A college hockey board would be awesome. I could start a WMU hockey thread and talk to myself in it lol. All the B10 teams except Minnesota have a board on 247 so I feel like a college hockey board would get some decent traffic. Certainly wouldn't be the most hopin' board around but it could still be fun. USCHO.com's forums are too much of a clusterf*ck for me.

    USCHO is filled with North Dakota and BC fans bickering over whether the WCHA or hockey east is better, annoying to say the least.

    BTN's hockey commentary is horrid IMO. I wish there was some way to have Al Randall and Billy Trainor (Michigan hockey radio network) synced to the TV broadcast.

    Eh, most commentary in all sports is terrible. I just want to be able to watch the games. It would be nice to have the radio broadcast synced up though.

    Well after this series against western, Michigan will have just ONE game televised out of their next 8 games....

    Networks are passing up on Michigan at miami, the second game of the home series against ohio, and rare home OOC games against northeastern and union. I can understand not wanting to go up to alaska, but for the ones I just named, It's ridiculous.

    I agree and I don't understand it either. Also the last time I checked I don't think the game against BC is being televised either, and that is ridiculous.

  • There is no way in hell that game won't be televised. Last year, the schedule didn't say that the GLI Championship would be televised until the day of the game. FSN+ will pick it up, if not FSN-Detroit.

    Side note: January 20th at notre dame is on Versus (aka NBC Sports)......great. As if BTN wasn't bad enough...censored

    Didn't know that about the GLI last year, thanks for the heads up. And yeah, I saw earlier in the week that Versus was going to start covering college hockey and we get to hear all about how wonderful ND is during that game. Ugh.

    I'm pretty sure Piere McGuire(sp) will try and bring up Sydney Crosby aswell. I can't stand versus even during the playoffs when the wings are on... I have a feeling them only scheduling 1 ccha game has something to do with the B1G adding hockey. There's gonna be a massive amount of Hockey East and WCHA games on there one would assume.
