  • I'm moving back to the Scranton/W-B area next week-- too home sick. I'll miss A2, where I've lived for half of my life, but I'm happy to go home.

Also, I transferred to Binghamton University's Global Business Management program.

  • I think I might have figured out what I might be doing after I get out of the Air Force.

Is this at all, even just a little bit, related to your distaste for the Art Fair the is looming in a couple months?

Scranton, like Dunder Mifflin? Seriously how is the town?

    Of a sort, yes.

I am going back to school to get my Game Design degree, it was always a dream of mine.

Nice man. Make a good MW 4, probably 9 by then. They took so many shortcuts in making #3.

Would rather make a better BF5 or 6 tbh.

Yep, I am probably going to try and get into the school I used to dream of going to as well for my degree.

The University of Advancing Technology (UAT), which is a top Game Design school in the country. Thought about other ones (Besides MSU, even though they are top 10 I believe), but decided back to UAT.

It's in Tempe, Arizona, so the weather will be beautiful, and I already calculated about how much I would be paying (it's a private school so the GI Bill won't pay for it all), and it will easily be affordable.

  • AZ is nice, and obviously Tempe is a great place to live. You will likely enjoy your time there.

Somewhat, but it's more related to having all my prerequisites done, a history of volunteer work, a 4.0 GPA, and still not getting into Ross.

To be honest, NEPA is pretty brutal compared to Ann Arbor, but it's home. Honestly though, I would've considered USD if they had gotten back to me earlier.

    Positives
    Wawa's, Sheets, and Wegman's
The biggest plus-side might be the location (an hour trip to New York City or the hour-and-a-half to Philly).
Scranton, Moscow, Back Mountain, Lake Ariel, and Abbington Heights are a few of the nicer communities in the area; however, they're mostly filled with mostly NYC and Philly expats. For me, that's a positive.
    The pizza is good.
The girls of NEPA are generally better looking, more educated, interesting, classy, and skinnier than Ann Arbor girls. (Ducksworth might be able to attest to that, too.)
Also, the local music scene is much better than in Ann Arbor.
(Probably because there's less to do) people are generally more talented.

    Negatives:
    The local economy's more depressed.
The local governments are rife with ties to organized crime and corruption.
The area seems to have a bit of a cocaine epidemic (especially Wilkes-Barre).
Scranton-area seems to have a developing heroin problem, too.
The Susquehanna River is badly polluted.
The food's not as good (except for the Pizza and Italian food, which is strangely better).
There's not as much to do.
There's a bunch of senior citizens.

Exhaustive list, but I feel that I better understand the area now. Lake Effect Snow?
