BC's not bad at hockey, but BC pretty much takes a backseat to at least one other Boston school in pretty much any area you can think of.

Uh, wut? BC just won a national title, and has exactly 5 more titles than Northeastern (zero titles). BU may over the course of time have the more storied program, but BC has been a far better team than any of the others you mentioned over the past 2 decades.

Holy balls. Wow. I am completely and totally wrong about BC hockey. This is what I get for getting all my Boston hockey info from a pair of friends who went to BU and Northeastern. My apologies to BC.

I've just decided to remove BC and add UVM. It isn't as good as a school, but I'm still applying to plenty of other good schools and I don't want to go a religious school.

It's dead center in the Adirondacks, close to the capital of New York, clean and nice city, and overall a ton of things to do outside of college.

I figured out doors stuff had something to do with it. I've been to Albany and the surrounding area is gorgeous. Outside of the West/Mountain region, I'd want to live in the Northeast.

You've been to Saratoga? Love that place, hopefully if I get rich and retire I can buy a ranch up there and just relax for the rest of my life.

It's absolutely beautiful, but the only school I could see fitting into the community there would be a very small liberal arts school with a high emphasis on quality education - like Skidmore in Saratoga Springs. Any state school or larger institution wouldn't fit in with the town at all.

The only problem with living in New York is that you have to live in NYC or one of the major western cities to have a big business.
I want to go out west at some point for fly fishing and skiing.
Do you ski or fish?
