I think they're in the 210 range for all the home games together. You get the tickets and are guaranteed a seat.

Tickets are right around $230 including a season T-shirt and a guaranteed seat to every game. This means the ticket listed on your seat is actually your seat, not general admission, etc.

One thing worth noting is that because of some of the poor student attendances last season, the athletic department is looking at some changes. Rumor on campus is that Michigan is going to general admission for students next season, but like I said, completely rumor.

Selfishly, I don't want next year to be general admission. My freshman year I sat in the 90th row, last year in the 65th, and this year I was in the 40th. Next year as a senior I should be in the 20-30 range. If it goes general admission, the seniority I've "earned" will be null and void.

As for prices, it's right around $220 as people have stated. $10 for the shirt voucher which I usually don't do, and roughly $30 a ticket. The seat you are guaranteed is the seat that's printed on your ticket. However, I would say roughly half of the students (maybe more) sit out of place. This poses problems because the students who come five minutes into the game go directly to their seats and start provoking BS by kicking whoever's there out. At this point, everyone just squeezes closer and closer together until those who own the seats are able to stand up on the seat/bench. It can be absolutely brutal.

The cutoff is at the 63rd row I believe, somewhere in that range. They usually have stadium employees making sure whoever goes below the 63rd row has a ticket that allows them to, and they are very strict about entering in your correct section. If your friends are scattered, you have to enter through the section on your ticket and move laterally once in the stands.

I could explain more of how our student tickets work, but as you can see it's a miserable system at this point. They have people working to "restore order" to our section, who in reality pose more problems. While the student section needs to be general admission for practical purposes and getting people there on time, I selfishly hope they wait until the 2014 season to do so.

Our tickets and location are determined by when you go to the ticket office and pull your tickets. Seniors get to pull first on Mondays,then Juniors on Tuesdays and so on. A student gets to pick where exactly they want to sit, if that section/seat is available. We can also pull tickets for away games, although, they cost separate from the cost of a sports pass.

Screw those guys.

And I actually talked with Hunter Lochmann and he said that there will definitely be something different with the student section next year. You can't have the embarrassing turnout from last year happen again, and they're gonna change it.

I agree that it looks bad on TV and from my own experience, I had no trouble getting to games on time. Even if you're tailgating pretty hard, there's no excuse to be late. However, the problem I have with general admission is what it leads to in the long run. Getting there a couple hours early isn't that big of a deal, but even look at MSU who has instituted a general admission policy. They're forced to wait the entire night for a game. Imagine what would happen at Michigan where football is a much bigger deal.

I just don't think it's the right call because of the time commitment it places on students already struggling to find time for classes, a job, and a social life. No excuse for being late, but I say just pull the tickets from people that skip games. Seems like a better option than general admission, at least in my opinion.

Or make it easier to sell tickets for those who are missing a game. No non-students want to buy a ticket to the non-marquee games knowing that they will have to pay the AD money on top of the ticket cost to get it validated.
