Lakewood (Calif.) wide receiver Darius Powe is preparing for his first official visit on Nov. 19 to Oregon State. He will make the trip north with his teammate, and Oregon State commit, Malik Gilmore.
In December he plans to visit Cal and Utah for official visits number two and three.
He was expected to visit Michigan for the night game bonanza with against Notre Dame but was forced to reschedule.
"I'm still trying to set that visit up but I haven't yet," Powe said. "After my season I should be able to sit down and get that trip planned. I really want to get out there, I love the offense and the fact they are a big-time school. Michigan, Oregon State and Utah are recruiting me the hardest right now."
The Wolverines were out in Lakewood a few weeks ago to check on Powe he said. Cal was also recently by his school.
"I'm open to all of the schools still recruiting me," he said. "I am thinking about announcing at the Under Army game in January. I'm not sure if I'll be ready or not but it's possible."
Powe was one of several unofficial visitors at UCLA on Saturday as the Bruins upset Arizona State.
"It was a crazy game," he said. "I'm glad I went and I had a good time. I was surprised UCLA won, but they did."
Lakewood has three talented receivers to spread the ball among. Powe said he has around 8 touchdowns this season and over 400 yards receiving.
Powe has a 247Sports rating of 89, making him a three-star recruit.
