    • I know we've discussed this before, but that Alabama game could be absolutely huge for Michigan on the recruiting trail. With all the hype that the SEC gets, and this game being against the defending national champs at Jerry's World, it doesn't get much bigger in terms of nonconference games. If the Wolverines can come away with a win, there's no telling how much that would benefit their recruiting efforts.

    • Paris is a great talent, but I really don't see him going anywhere other than LSU.

Penn State was able to hold their ground for most of the game last year against Bama with practically no offense. Bama was a lot better last year too, I have to believe that the game will be a lot closer than people think.

At this point, that may very well be the case. But I think Michigan would really turn a lot of recruits' heads if the Wolverines can beat Alabama. For those prospects that may not currently have Michigan at the top of their list, a win in that game could really change things.

I agree with you that Michigan has a legit chance in this one. I'd probably pick Alabama to win as of today, but it's certainly a winnable game for the Wolverines. We'll analyze this in more depth as the game approaches, but I think the key for Michigan - both in this game and for the entire season - will be up front on both sides of the ball. If the Wolverines can stop the run on defense, and eliminate negative plays on offense, it should be a heck of a game. Special teams could end up playing a major factor in this one as well.

Agreed, bama is breaking in alot of new guys on d and its the first game. Of course they're the favorite but we definetly have a real chance to win.

Smart manthumbsup LSU is the clear leader and they have many advantages for Paris. Remember he is originally from LA and has family there and uncle is HC and a HS in LA.

The fact that he IS visiting is a great sign.

    • The SEC is definitely NOT all hype. The good news for y'all is that you get Bama early in the year with their newer defensive players still learning Saban's scheme, and learning how to deal with SATAN blowing up at them during the game. Mr. Robinson is the key for y'all to win the game. If he can make them account for his legs from sideline to sideline; I think y'all may be able to keep up with them in points. The depth is where Al will be way better. Good luck to y'all with Paris; I would love to see him in Purple and Gold, and hopefully y'all scare the mess out of Bama and bring them back down to reality.
