LTT Diary: Ready to join team 134

Peoria (Ill.) Manual four-star offensive tackle Logan Tuley-Tillman committed to Michigan on Sunday, capping off a huge weekend for the Wolverines, as Brady Hoke and his coaching staff landed eight verbals in two days.

Tuley-Tillman details how he came to his own decision.

I know just how stuff was playing out that I knew I wanted to make my commitment soon. I went down to Wisconsin on Saturday just to see what it was like. I loved it so much, but on my way home I got some advice.

I was told, imagine yourself waking up at one of the five or 29 schools you’re still thinking about. The thought of waking up in Ann Arbor, I knew that’s where I would be the happiest.

I asked my Mom what she thought and she was actually bugging out because she thought I was going to say Wisconsin because I was just up there. She said Logan, you know what I think. But she didn’t know what I was going to do. She was on the phone with someone when I called Michigan, and I said Mom, I’m on the phone and you need to come hear it. She heard what was happening and instantly started crying. It was a real great moment.

I talked to Coach (Darrell) Funk and Coach (Brady) Hoke and I was talking to them and they were real excited. Coach Hoke’s wife was in the background yelling and screaming, and you could see how happy she was, how happy everybody was. Coach Funk and Coach Hoke both talked to my mom for awhile and that was real cool too.

Just from all the times being up there, and my family being right there, knowing they’ll be at every event I have in college, and I know I can go home whenever I feel like it, did it for me. I already have friends there. Some of my friends I know committed already like Kyle (Bosch). I remember us talking on our visit to Alabama, and Kyle and I were talking about our offers and what school we liked the best and we both said Michigan.

It’s so great just knowing I’m going to be part of the tradition and part of a great recruiting class. We’re team 134. We can be part of everything they’ve done there. Just the pride that comes with it and being able to wear that winged-helmet and play in front of 115,000 every Saturday home game.

Another big thing for me was the fans and how much they support Michigan, and they’re loving and undying passion.
