I think Garrett will receive an offer at the BBQ next weekend.
It may be a head to head battle with OSU, which sounds like OSU is his current leader. Hopefully if Hoke and Co. do offer him they can reel him in!

VH3 named USC his leader after a visit, but then USC didn't even make his top 5 like a week later.
My point is a lot of recruits get caught up in the moment after a visit sometimes and the say stuff like that.. I wouldn't be too optimistic.

Also, Garrett hasn't really visited anywhere yet. Still has Michigan and OSU to visit for the first time.

There's not much evidence to suggest that MSU can compete with Ohio or ND for an out-of-state recruit. Don't pay much attention to MSU recruiting, but Cox is the only out-of-state recruit (that I can think of, at least) with offers from both those schools that signed/committed to MSU. That's combining the 2013, 2012, and 2011 classes.

It's cute when you guys get your hopes up on landing elite prospects and then when you don't you go back to saying how stars don't matter and that these players are overrated.
