    • I'm really high on the TE Jacob Matuska. We have him as a four-star with a 93 rating. Schools like Oklahoma, Illinois, and Cincy have already offered. I think he would fit great in the Michigan offense. Would be huge if Wolverines could pull him out of Columbus!

      • Yesterday Michigan also offered CB Ryan White. He is the third player from Trinity with a Wolverine offer.

Here are some highlights on White.

        • Solid write-up Clint.

What have you heard about Diamond and Kozan? Where are they leaning? If we grab Diamond and/or Kozan, does it move us up in the rankings?

          Thanks

Thanks! With Diamond and Kozan, Michigan will likely jump a spot but with only one of them Michigan will probably stay where they are. And its tough to say, I think Kozan is leaning a little towards Auburn and that Michigan has a better shot at Diamond.

Thanks for the response. Getting either is just icing on the cake to me. Actually, Diamond maybe a side of ice cream to go with the icing.

Who's Michigans next commit for 2013?

              • Also, in regards to our RBs, I have heard that Norfleet has great quickness but lacks top end speed, what do you think? This mainly coming from MSU fans, I haven't seen it mentioned in any articles.

How does Johnson's hurdle speed translate to the field? What is his 40 time? DOes he have enough shiftyness or is he strictly North and South?

2013 safety Jayme Thompson (Toledo,OH) told me that he will be choosing between WVU, Notre Dame, and Michigan tomorrow. We are still trying to confirm whether he actually has a Michigan and Notre Dame offer though. We will find out soon enough.

I think that Norfleet has great quickness and does have another gear once he gets out in the open, check out his highlights they are spectacular. I also think Drake Johnson has good top end speed because of his long strides, he can really cover some ground once he gets going. I would say he is a 4.5 to 4.6 forty, pretty fast for him because he is not a small running back.

                    As always, thank you.

With the questions about whether or not Thompson it reminds me of the kid out west who faked having offers and a hat ceremony committing to Cal. At least that is the way I remember it.

Hopefully this kid is good enough and does have the offers.

I think this is one area where Urban's spread offense would actually help us. To me tight ends are often not used in spread offenses, whereas the offense we are moving towards will use them (see Funchess for probably the best idea) and I think that could help us with him.
