      I have a feeling he gets an offer at Michigan's camp and ends up in this class. I do wonder how upset he was not getting an offer when he was on campus with Dawson and Lewis when they committed.

      Defensive tackle is a tricky position to recruit these days because it takes a unique type of athlete to be successful at the college level. You want your defensive tackles to have a wide frame with a low center of gravity so they can get underneath taller offensive lineman. You want them to be agile and athletic as well as quick off the ball. Mike Martin is a perfect example of what you want your defensive tackles to look like. They are tough to find that is why I think Michigan is taking their time with Gibbs to make sure he is exactly what they're looking for.

      I would rather give higher rated guys a shot before offering the lower end guys.

      Yeah no doubt. My point was there is just not a whole lot of high rated defensive tackles out there each year. Only one five star DT ranked so far by 247, Montravius Adams.
